Who we are and mission statement

The mission of IDCFL is  to host the International Holocaust Remembrance Day in accordance with United Nation resolution 60/7. The resolution, co-sponsored by 104 countries and issued on November 1, 2005, designated January 27 as the official International Holocaust Remembrance Day .

The purpose of the UN resolution is to encourage member nations and its representatives around the globe to host and sponsor various events on or around January 27 to honor the memory of the 6 million Jews who perished in the hands of the Nazi regime. In addition, it urges nations to develop educational programs to instill the memory of the tragedy in the minds of future generations to prevent genocide from occurring again.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Holocaust Scholarship Programs were hosted by Tampa Bay Consular Corps (TBCC)  in the five years ending January 2017 And to expand statewide the Holocaust commemorative events  with the participation of  all  international diplomats, consuls and other foreign government representatives  in the State, the International Diplomatic Corps of Florida  (IDCFL)  was instituted.

The International Day in memory of the victims of the Holocaust is also a day to reassert a commitment  to human rights. Due to the event’s historical and most important significance, IDCFL invites and welcomes a wider range of active and former official representatives of any nation as supporters and participants to the annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

IDCFL is a non for profit organization incorporated in the state of Florida in February, 2017.  It is also exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 ( C ) ( 3 ) and classified as a public charity foundation. Donors can deduct contributions they make including also bequests, devises, transfer or gifts.

Your tax deductible contributions will be utilized to educate students at American universities, colleges and senior high schools on the horrific events of the Holocaust and the cause and effect of anti-Semitism in school campuses.
